We did not use a Realtor, against Giuseppe's reccomendation. He did as much as he possibly could to warn us of any pitfalls along the way, but we still wish we would have used a Realtor. I was a first-time home buyer with a lot of questions about the process. I was referred to Giuseppe and Fairway by my brother-in-law who had used him for previous transactions. He had nothing but good things to say, so I decided to use them for my loan. I contacted Giuseppe via e-mail and within hours he had called me to discuss the process of applying for a loan, getting approved for a loan and the general home-buying experience. On Friday Nov 21st around 1pm the news came that me and my husband did not qualify for our house, that we were supposed to close on Monday the 24th. I did not know what to do or say, the place we were living in had been rented to another couple and they were moving in on Friday the 28th which meant that me and my husband, 2 children, 2 dogs and 2 cats would be living in a hotel and would have no home for the Holidays. I recently bought my first home and would like to take the opportunity to praise Giuseppe and Fairway Independent Mortgage Corp. for my experience throughout the home-buying and lending process, particularly in the midst of an increasingly uncertain mortgage environment. Giuseppe came highly recommended, and I initially contacted him for a "second opinion" after being pre-approved by another lender.
